Located in the heart of Grindelwald a 5-minute walk from the train station and the Grindelwald-First ski lifts Downtown Lodge Hostel - Unique Simple Central offers panoramic views of the Eiger and surrounding mountains. The rooms at the hostel are simply furnished and include heating and shared bathrooms. Free lockers are available. Guests can enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast which includes bread toast various jams butter ham cheese yogurt cereals hot drinks and juices. Most of the products are locally produced. A shared kitchen equipped with an oven refrigerator microwave kettle toaster cutlery crockery and pans are available to all guests free of charge. The kitchen must be left clean and tidy by guests. In summer you can relax in the garden fitted with sun loungers and a lounge corner. Balls table tennis and badminton as well as city bikes are available for free. The Downtown Lodge Hostel - Unique Simple Central has a games room with a billiards table a TV and tabletop football. A ski and bicycle storage room are provided as well. The property is surrounded by Grindelwald shops restaurants bars and nightclubs. The Grindelwald-First skilift is a 5-minute walk away. Guests enjoy free access to the bus and ski shuttle as well as to the indoor swimming pool at a nearby sports centre.
