Dating from the 18th-century the Allanton is charming coaching inn located in Berwickshire. It has a large garden with countryside views modern bedrooms with luxury furnishings and an elegant restaurant. Rooms at the Allanton Inn are decorated in soft colours and original artwork. Beds are covered in Egyptian cotton sheets and rooms also feature flat-screen TVs and bathrooms with luxurious toiletries. Beautiful wooden tables and polished floors are gently lit by candlelight in the restaurant. It serves fine British cuisine including beef from the family farm West Coast mussels and local wood pigeon. The River Whiteadder offers fantastic salmon and trout fishing and is just a 2-minute walk from the Allanton. Berwick-upon-Tweed on the East Coast is a 15-minute drive away.
